Everything included in the standard package, plus:
- Insulated tank jacket: Marine grade canvas incorporated with an internal multi-foil insulation to keep in the heat and make bath time a lot more efficient - and colorful!
- Insulated lids: Canvas or cedar: A tailored canvas lid incorporates the same multifoil insulation as our jackets and are perfect for closing up over night or longer periods of time. You can upgrade to a slatted cedar lid for $390, which helps to retain heat, act as a 'platform' when in use, and look great.
- Stirring paddle: As the tank heats, the hot water will rise to the surface. Use our handcrafted stirring paddle to stir it up and ensure an even temperature.
- Floating Thermometer: A super useful accessory, and a must for getting your hot tank heating spot on. Large, easy to read dial floating thermometer.
The Premium Package includes elements to make using your hot tank that little bit easier. The insulated tank jacket and lid drastically reduce heat-up times and retains the heat in your water for longer. The canvas lid also provides protection for your Hot Tank when it's not in use, making it easier to maintain.
How do they work?
The Hot Tank heater coil works using the thermosyphon effect.
When connected to the tank, the fire within the coil will draw cooler water in from the boom of the tub (cooler water is denser than warmer water and will sink to the bottom). The fire in your coil will heat the water up, making the water less dense. This water will rise through your coil and leave as warmed water back into your tub - so no noisy pumps!
Are they safe?
As long as they're used responsibly, absolutely.
We supply an instruction booklet alongside the Hot Tank, which shows the simple steps you take to use and heat your Hot Tank safely, alongside tips and tricks for a great bathing experience.
Do they need chemicals?
Generally, no. We simply recommend a re-fill between guest changeovers. A full Hot Tank will use approximately 500l of water and with a bit of care will last your guests entire stay. If re-filling is a problem then water treatment can be achieved at guest changeovers.
Can the water be heated another way?
If you'd rather not go the wood-fired route, we also offer an off-grid, gas water heater so guests can fill their tank just like a bath at home. Simply mention this when you enquire for costs and details.
What do I need on my site?
All you need is a water supply for the Hot Tank - and the perfect space to take a dip.
What are the shipping times?
Currently you can expect 4-6 weeks for production and delivery. We are working on a shorter window, so please feel free to check with us.
